Why can I only change my meal plan during the meal plan switch period?
Meal plans are billed through the University, thus any meal plan switch must fall within the University’s billing cycle.

How can I find out my account balance?
Each time you make a transaction, your account balance is reflected at the register or contact the Meal Plan Office.

Can my roommate use one of my Block Meals?
The Block Meal and Carte Blanche Meal Plans are designed and priced for the sole use of the person who has purchased the meal plan and are designed to cater to that person’s needs for an entire semester of dining.

How do I use my Block Meals at the Atrium and Delehanty Deck?
Individuals wishing to use a Block Meal verses their retail points, should simply advise their cashier at the time of check out. The meal equivalency program exchange for one block is $4.75 for breakfast, $7.95 for lunch and $8.75 for dinner.

Can I take food out of the Simpson's and Harris/Millis Dining Hall?
Our resident dining halls are designed to offer "all you care to eat" within the facility. Guests are more than welcome to finish their ice cream or piece of fruit as they are leaving the dining hall. Or if you are seeking another dining option try the new take out “View to Go” at Harris-Millis.

What if I am unable to attend an all-you-care-to-eat-meal?
Contact Simpson or Harris/Millis Dining Hall at least 24 hours in advance, and we will be happy to make arrangements for a meal that you can pick up prior to the dining period as part of our “Meals on the Move” Program. Or try the dining option “View to Go” at Harris/Millis for a meal on the run.

What do I do if I lost my UVM ID?

I have special dietary concerns. How do I address those?

How are service hours determined?
Service hours are based on data collected from the Meal Plan Office. This information is then matched against other data such as comment cards, surveys, University classes and meeting schedules. All of this information help us develop service hours recommendations, which are then presented to the University's Dining Services Advisory Committee for approval.

Can I use my retail points at Local Restaurants?
Retail Points are part of your dining plan on campus and can only be utilized with the on-campus dining locations. “Pizza for Points” is the only option available after 7:00pm through one of our local pizza vendors. CatScratch dollars can be utilized at local restaurants.
